FOR THE USE OF THE TM800 SERIES NEW JERSEY PROFILE BARRIER
The TM800 Series may be used for delineation in many applications such as replacement of painted drums, cones, bollards and star pickets.
Barriers When using the TM800 series linked together as a system, the devices must be pinned and properly ballasted. The pins provided should be inserted so that the large washers attached are used on each side of the apertures in the devices. This helps to avoid pull through, in the event of severe impact.
The TM800 Series is manufactured using virgin polymer. These barriers are engineered with a specific strength over length ratio and have a unique patented overlapping join top and bottom. There is no gap between the units. This prevents tyres snagging at the join. The continous wall face presentation to a vehicle impacting, helps to redirect the errant vehicle back onto the road. The impacting force is transmitted longitudinally throughout the interlocked barrier system. The hydraulic effect of the water escaping through the pop filler caps causes the units to act as an AquacushionTM. There is then some displacement of the system at the point of impact which should be allowed for, and is dependant on the length of need of the system in place, to be properly effective. Water ballast should reach the level in the TM800's as indicated by the dotted line.

Hence it is important the barriers are installed in the manner described. The barriers come fully equipped with retroflective devices visible on each side of the barrier from each direction in accordance with Australian Standards 1742/3. We further recommend the use of lanterns for conditions of low visibility and darkness. A pocket for these lanterns, with a vandal proof pin, has been specially designed, for this purpose.
